ABOUT TURNER
Turner Bates is a new voice in Canadian country music who is quickly becoming known for his heartfelt lyrics, genuine presence, and ability to connect strongly with an audience. Turner taught himself to play guitar as a kid and through his teens got his first introduction to performing by hitting open mic nights across Calgary.
Following a pivotal experience at the 13th Annual Country Music Alberta Awards in Edmonton, Turner decided to commit to pursuing a career in country music. In the whirlwind of events since, Turner has racked up performances at some of the most notable venues, including the Calgary Stampede, Big Valley Jamboree, Diamonds in the Rough CCMA Stage and regular appearances at legendary Ranchman’s. Turner also appeared at the Grey Eagle Casino’s Devin Cooper and Friends show with a select group of performers. For Turner, a particular standout moment that has stoked his passion as an artist was seeing his name on the same poster as one of his musical idols, Cody Johnson.
Turner’s new single, Where I Belong, captures the authenticity and connection of his music to the country way of life. With a deep passion for storytelling and a strong sense of purpose, Turner Bates is an artist on the rise - committed to creating music that resonates with and builds a lasting connection with listeners across the country.
